Who we are

We at Digital Gaudium have a passion for playing video games and writing about it. We post weekly content about the latest games that not only interests the staff as a whole, but caters to our individual preferences. Although most of our content should cater to the needs of an international audience, we are based in Australia and we may post articles or videos which discuss issues that exist in the Australian Video Game Industry.

Review Scores

There is a small Caveat with these review scores, when you see a number repeated twice that means that means it is from the base number to the highest decimal (i.e 0-2 and 2-4, this means that it goes from 1.9-2 and 2.1-4).

0 – 2, Horrible

These are games that aren’t worth the time to look at let alone to play. You should stay away from these games at all costs. Not only are these games uninspired but they are either ultra-glitchy or really poorly made. Buyer Beware.

2 – 4, Below average

Games that have this rating attached to them have more things that are bad than good. Some parts of it might be of interest but it’s not worth it to pay new or recently used. Often games like these are not horrible, they will be playable but will be innovative or entertaining in the least. Games that fall between these ratings aren’t worth your money and should be rented if you desperately wish to play it.

4- 6, Mediocre

A game that receives a rating that falls into this category doesn’t necessarily mean it is bad. Sure, it could be a decent game, but it would be strongly subject to your appreciation of particular gameplay mechanics, characters and themes. For example a racing fanatic will appreciate a decent racing game a lot more than someone who is not interested in cars or racing them. This rating also may be given to a game that is plagued by numerous bugs which prevents the game from reaching it’s full potential.

6 – 8, Good

These games are very entertaining and well made. They have great potential and are definitely worth their price tag. These games do have their flaws but they are usually overshadowed by the good aspects of the game.

8- 10, Excellent

In our opinion, no game is perfect but, these games get pretty close. A game that would receive this rating must be outstanding in all aspects with very little margin for error. When you see us give a game this rating, you should definitely need to experience it for yourself. You will not be disappointed.
